They are located on Crouse Ave perpendicular to Marshall St. where most Syracuse University students are extremely familiar with. Garbo’s is next to Feagan’s and across from Bruger’s Bagels. Garbo’s was created in 1996 and has stayed relevant providing their staff with the most up to date education. To enter you walk up two flights of stairs to get to the main entrance. Hair treatments and tanning are done on this floor and if you walk back down one flight then you’re at the level for nails, other spa treatments and skin care. Garbo’s is fresh faced and clean upon entry. They have two nice waiting rooms on each level and the service is helpful.
In regards to tanning they have three different type beds. They have the Cancun, the Bahama, and the Aruba, which increase in price as said. Their basic single session starts at $7 and ranges to $10.They also have packages for one week, one month, one semester and the year. Besides the semester and school year package, the package prices are all the same for the different beds. Ladies haircuts are $35 and men’s are $20. Garbo’s offers all different types of coloring and highlights along with cuts and styles. They also have deals such as “Manicure Mondays”, “Waxing Wednesdays”, and “Therapeutic Thursdays”. Since they cater mainly to SU students and people around the area they understand busy schedules and are accommodating, extending their hours to fit the needs of their clients. On their website, it gives you pictures and a brief description of everyone who works there if you want to find out about a stylist ahead of time.
